Golf School
Here at Mannings Heath we offer 2, 3 or 5
Day Golf Schools for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced players
plus Ladies only schools. Golf Schools can be tailored to
individual needs after a discussion with the golf professional.
Example itinerary for a 2 day golf tuition break in
Sussex:
2 Day Golf Tuition Break with Former European
Tour Professional Carl Watts
Overview:
- 10 Hours golf tuition
- 1 night Stay at the 5* South Lodge hotel in
Sussex
- 18 Holes on Waterfall
- 9-18 Hole Assessment on Kingfisher
Golf Tuition Day 1
- 10:00-11:00 Arrive for tea, coffee &
brunch
- 11:00-12:00 Warm up Assessment
Carl will start to assess your swing and short
game as you warm up for the round.
- 12:00-16:00 On Course Assessment &
Tuition (Kingfisher)
This session will consist of a minimum of 9
holes and dependant on the assessment the remaining time will
consist of a further 9 holes or work on the driving range, indoor
coaching studio or short game area.
Long Game Demonstration
Video footage will be shown of all players
with the aim of creating the awareness and understanding of each
player’s main faults. You will learn how understanding the ball
flight laws with key focus on the swing path and clubface positions
is vital to your game. If you’re a slicer and want to learn to draw
the ball or you hook shots and would love a safe fade you are in
for a treat.
Short Game Demonstration
Course video footage of each player’s putting,
chipping, pitching and bunker play with the aim to create the
awareness and understanding of key faults within the short game.
Also we will look at are green reading, feel and pace control and
holing out.
Slopes and Lies Demonstration
You will receive key tips to help you save
shots by understanding how to play shots from various slopes and
lies. It’s amazing how many shots are lost through a lack of basic
understanding, this part of the demonstration is a key factor to
lowering your scores.
- 16:00-17:00 Game Review (Coaching
Studio)
We will complete a short statistics review of
the holes played, showing fairways hit, how many greens you hit in
regulation, whether you missed them left or right, number of ups
and downs, bunker saves and number of putts. Along with Carl’s
technical feedback this will help you to truly understand which
areas of the game need attention.
*Key training drills and training aids will be
introduced and demonstrated throughout the day.

Golf Tuition Day 2
- 07:00-08:00 Breakfast at South Lodge
- 08:30 Putting Session
You will be introduced to a personalised
practice routine encompassing 3 or 4 drill stations using key
training aids focused on creating a reliable routine, consistent
pace control and a repeatable action.
You will be introduced to a personalised
practice routine encompassing 3 or 4 drill stations using key
training aids focused on creating a repeatable action using a
variety of clubs.
You will be introduced to a personalised
practice routine encompassing 3 or 4 drill stations using key
training aids to help fast track any swing changes you will be
making.
This time will be used to focus on priority
areas whether in the short or long game.

- 12:30-16:30 18 Holes on the Waterfall
Course
Put your game to the test and play 18 holes on
the well known waterfall course! There is an extra option* for you
to have Carl Watts play the 18 holes with you or have an extra
coaching afternoon with Carl walking the round with you as in the
initial day 1 assessment round.

This is a final opportunity to ask any
questions you may have to help keep you on track in the following
weeks and months. Your details of the tuition trip including swing
examples and your own swing sequence will be compiled in your
personalised Exclusive Golf Tuition Report which will be emailed to
you within 2 days of your departure.
