Benguela Cove and Mannings Heath Golf Club & Wine Estate will offer visitors and wine lovers irresistible destinations in two hemispheres. These venues promise a sparkling future with success.
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier will be planted next year transforming 45 acres of the Kingfisher course into a vineyard with the aim of producing Sussex sparkling wine.
Benguela Cove fringes the Bot River lagoon near Hermanus, where residents enjoy tranquil views over verdant vineyards to the water and the Palmiet mountains. The estate's maiden wines were produced in 2007 and in eight short years the premium selection range has enjoyed local and international acclaim. The Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon and Shiraz have been among the most feted, all attracting medals from the IWSC in London. While the Noble Late Harvest boasts a four and a half star rating from Platter's current guide.
Mannings Heath Golf Club & Wine Estate can offer visitors to the estate a South African style wine experience. Experience first hand tastings of the wines produced by Benguela Cove as well as wine tasting experiences which include wine & chocolate pairing and cheese & wine pairing. All of the Benguela Cove wines are available to take home at "cellar door prices".

"Just thought I would drop you a line to say how much we enjoyed Amanda's wine and cheese tasting session last Sunday. She gave us some background information on the South African operation which helped with our overall experience.
Nick gave us a briefing on the local cheeses and also his supplier. The nibbles to clear the palate were excellent as was his selection of cheeses. It was amazing how different the wines tasted after sampling the cheese, something we hadn't previously appreciated.
The whole experience was lovely and Amanda's knowledge was a huge contributing factor. She also told us the prices and explained that ordering in larger quantities was a benefit. We will be placing an order. Please pass on our grateful thanks to Amanda.
The cheese and chocolate session may have to be done......"
