    • Integrated Production: Following the Integrated Production of Wine (IPW) guidelines to minimise the use of harmful pesticides and chemicals.

    • Precision Agriculture: Using weather stations, drone imagery, and satellite data to monitor vine health and optimise irrigation and fertilisation.

    • Biological Pest Control: Introducing natural predators to manage pests such as the mealybug, reducing the need for harsh insecticides.

    • Soil Management: Applying organic mulches and planting cover crops to enhance soil fertility, suppress weeds, and improve water retention.

    • Wildlife Conservation: Installing owl boxes to naturally control rodent populations without the use of chemicals.

  • Our Waterfall and Kingfisher golf courses are maintained with eco-friendly methods to ensure pristine playing conditions year-round:

    • Soil Health: Implementing verti-drainage, spiking, and slitting techniques to promote healthy grass growth and reduce reliance on chemical treatments.

    • Water Conservation: Utilising deep aeration to improve water infiltration, creating firmer, free-draining surfaces that require less irrigation.

    • Chemical Reduction: Minimising fungicide applications by encouraging robust turf through cultural practices, reducing usage from seven to just three or four applications annually.

    • Future Initiatives: Planning the installation of a machinery washdown area that uses recycled and rainwater, further conserving valuable resources.

    • Under the leadership of Penny Streeter OBE, we are committed to continuous improvement in our sustainable practices. Our vision includes:

      • Resource Efficiency: Expanding the use of renewable resources and reducing waste across all operations.

      • Community Engagement: Promoting a culture of respect, equality, and upliftment among our staff and guests.

      • Heritage Preservation: Safeguarding the rich history and biodiversity of our estate for future generations to enjoy.
